Always SING! A Tag For STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday

Today is my day to share some mixed media stencil inspiration for this week's Stencil Sunday over at the STAMPlorations' Blog.  I love sharing how quickly and easily you can create some pretty amazing pieces of art using some of your stencils and mediums.
Here is the tag I created today, cut from a piece of scrap cardboard backing that came with some stickers.  Because it was pre-printed half the job was already done!
I used the CUTplorations luggage tag dies to cut my base, and added a layer of Dreamweaver's glossy black embossing paste through the ARTplorations Dots and Dashes Stencil.  I love this product because it dries so quickly with a lovely tar-like glossy finish.
Also on a scrap piece of cardboard (the cover from an empty watercolour paper pad) I used Dreamweavers metallic bronze embossing paste through some of the feathers from the ARTplorations Large Feathers and Arrows stencil.  (Yes, I cut my larger stencils in to smaller pieces - they are easier to use this way.)
Once the paste had dried ( in about 30 minutes) I stamped the word "Sing" onto one of the feathers as well as stamping a few bird images onto some craft card stock with Olive Stazon ink. I cut everything out and then it was just a matter of assembling onto the tag base using heavy duty double-sided tape and some foam pop dots.
I liked the look of the pre-printed back of tag so much I decided to leave it the way it was, and I finished everything off by adding a bronze coloured eyelet and a piece of lacey black ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and that it inspires you to create something using your stencils.  And if you do we would LOVE to see it in our November Mixed Media Challenge where Anything Goes Except a Card (as long as you use any stencil).
