Today I am excitedly revealing this canvas to you for my April post for the Altered Eclectics Design Team, a challenge site where ANYTHING GOES all month long, as long as it is NOT a card or ATC or scrapbook page (perfect for me Right?). And here it is, an 8x8 inch board canvas using a mixed media technique that I am LOVING!
I am IN LOVE with this mixed media technique that I am developing which uses up lots of my product in many, many layers and also allows me to use my stamps, but in a very different way (Win! Win!)
I am IN LOVE with this mixed media technique that I am developing which uses up lots of my product in many, many layers and also allows me to use my stamps, but in a very different way (Win! Win!)
But I what I am REALLY liking is the clean look of this technique. I was finding some mixed media processes I tried were so busy and messy looking, that everything blended together into one hot mess with no one image to focus on.
But this technique, while still using lots of layers and product, allows me pull out and focus on my main images... Swoon!
Unfortunately I was so involved in the creation of this particular canvas that I totally forgot to take photos along the way, but you can see the entire process for this type of mixed media canvas HERE on a pictorial tutorial blog post I did for Unity Stamps' Blog Hop last month where I explained each step of this AWESOME Technique!
And Please do pop on over to the Altered Eclectics Blog to see what other amazing creations my design team mates have created. They are all so talented that I feel honoured to be included in their group! And since you are there already, why not add one of your own creations? ANYTHING GOES and you have the entire month of April to get something linked up for a chance to be the TOP PICK by the design team with all the Bragging Rights that go along with that! Grin
As always, thanks for popping in to see what I am up to and Please do leave a comment if you like what you see... I may not respond to every comment you leave, but I promise I read every one of them! (grin)

So colorful and bright. That will put a smile on your face.
ReplyDeleteThank you Peg... I am LOVING all your stuff (creations) over at the Kraafters Kommunity!
DeleteGorgeous piece. I had to laugh as it reminded me: one of my children (had been watching a black and white tv show, and I had commented that when I was little, that's what it was like) asking me "so, when did they invent color?" He thought the whole world was in black and white! Can you even imagine? Not you for sure LOL!
ReplyDeleteJean what a lovely story... you HAVE to scrapbook that one for future generations! Grin Thanks for visiting AND leaving me such a lovely comment!
DeleteUtter gorgeousness my friend. i am now hopping over to the technique page xx
