What's on YOUR Workdesk Wednesday #364 (the 7th Anniversary!)

SEVEN years?! I know people who couldn't stay married that long! (grin) I am so happy to have found this little weekly blog hop and to be able to participate for the 7th anniversary.  I love Julia Dunnit (from the Stamping Ground) who began it all and I am shamelessly copying a bit from her blog post today so you can see why, after seven years, it is still going strong!
"You're welcome, every week, when you can or just a few times. This is no clique, and as long as you stick to the very few rules, you will always be welcome. I've met loads of you, thanks to LLJ's super WOYWW Crops and her telling me to 'grow a pair'. Most of you have discovered that I am exactly what I say I am, no more no less than an average woman that really, really likes to talk herself up."
So here is my studio this morning, finally a snap of the REAL thing! This is what it looks like on a regular basis because the more room you have the bigger mess you can create! Grin

You would think that with all this shelving keeping everything within easy reach I would be able to put things back just as easily, but that does not seem to be the case!

And Yes! I am participating in the ATC swap this year, so no close up of my desk so you can't see all the lovelies I am making, (that's for next week!) and YES I have extras so please do contact me if you want to swap!

Go HERE to see this year's WOYWW #364 post and all the links to work spaces all over the world, being hosted by the lovely Lunch Lady Jan as Julia is on holidays right  now.
ME - no make up, messy hair, messy studio but Big Bright Beautiful Smile!
As always Thanks for popping in and please do leave me a comment if you like what you see!!!!

  1. Oh, what a gorgeous piece of fabric art you're holding, Lynne! So very much you! Hey, you don't need make-up in your studio, just a happy smile - check! It's so true about the size of the room being in direct correlation to the size of the mess! Sent you an email with my address! So happy to swap with you! :)

  3. Hey Lynne, I agree with Lisca, the fabric is lovely, but your smile is even better. I love the messy studio views - can I ask what that is draped over your chair, is it something you are working on? Or just a cover that is actually pretty? LOL. Looking forward to swapping things with you. Cx #55

    1. Hello Claire... so nice to get to know each other this way, isn't it? What you see draped over my chair is a Shower Curtain covered in Jane Davenport's Art, which I ordered off of Society 6 (https://society6.com/) Our new home has custom built shower enclosures and no where to use a shower curtain! But I LOVE Jane's art soooo much I decided to use it as a cover for the "Thinking/meditation" chair in my studio. Thanks for visiting and the comment!!

  4. Happy 7th WOYWW Lynne - thank you for joining in the celebrations around the world! I love seeing your craft space, it makes me smile. Why is it that no matter how much storage we have, stuff still never gets put away?! That's a fab pic of you at the end, I'm sure you and I would get on just fine if you ever came over...you look like my kinda gal! If you have any ATCs left over, I'd like to swap :-D

  5. Hi Lynne,
Very jealous of all your craft space; and so true; I think there is a physics theorem on available space squared to craft supplies x disposable income = mess and disarray. Love the fabric piece too! I'm your star person after, I'll send an email with my address! Happy Anniversary!

  20. OMG, yes too funny! I was thinking of using a door as well, I was just concerned it would be too long & need suppot in the middle. From your pictures I was not able to see the middle - do you have anything suppoting that area? I am planning to just place the counter top on the shelves - is that what you did as well - or did your wonderful husband build a frame? I am kinda moving into a new stage of my life after some unwanted & unexpected changes. Its been a few years, but the smile is coming back! thanks for sharing. wished I live next door - I think it would be awesome to craft with you. I am in sunny southern Calif

    Bridget #11

  25. Thanks Bridget... That throw is actually a cloth shower curtain I ordered from Society 6 with Jane Davenports art all over it... Our new home has shower enclosures so I couldn't use it as a shower curtain, but it makes a fabulous throw for my thinking chair!!
