What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #286

It's Wednesday and I am now Addicted to linking up at the Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. Today I am sharing a snap of a small piece of my creative space that you can actually see as I am in a panic trying to get all my Christmas packages ready for mail out on Thursday (that would be TOMORROW!) because I am leaving for two GLORIOUS weeks in Manzanillo, Mexico on Friday and won't be back on the frozen ground in the Great White North until Decebmer 13th, way too late to have anything mailed out... You would think I didn't know I was leaving on Friday! (grin)...

So here are some of the cards that I have made throughout the year which I package up and send off every Christmas to family and friends all over the world. And a smart, well-organized person would finish each card when it is created (not just the front) and match it with an envelope and stamp a sentiment inside and place it inside a protective sleeve, so that they wouldn't have to do all of that for dozens of cards the day before they need to be sent off - but I am so NOT that person... so Here I am at 1:00 am frantically stamping and matching and wrapping and drinking wine (grin) but I need to head to bed so I can get up for a Mameogram at 9:00 am... just typing that makes me want MORE WINE!
So pop on over to the Stamping Ground to check out some of the other WOYWW linky's.... It is really addictive!
Cheers

  3. I'm forever more trying to match a card with an envelope. This year I'm trying to do better; making my own envelopes...hoping that helps.

  6. I can just about picture you with a bottle of wine crafting (or grafting?) in the middle of the night! Lovely cards - I especially like the ones that look like something out of an art journal. I'm not much of a cardmaker, but I could get into this kind of card-making! Have a great time in Mexico and spare a few thoughts for those of us stuck in freezing temperatures while you're in the pool. will you? Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #41

  7. WOW, sounds like me. I make the fronts but not the insides until I'm ready to use them. But by the looks of your desk you've completed a lot. Good luck and have fun on your trip. Edna

  13. Now this made me smile. I am not that person either. So much so that I usually end up handwriting all over the inside to disguise that I haven't sta,ped a sentiment ...and that's usually because the deadline is upon me. It's like Christmas, I know when it is, a year in advance. No help at all!
Have a fantastic holiday....wow, am a bit jealous!

  14. More Wine!!! LOL, Well you are doing a wonderful job at the cards. A little something special for everyone on your list. I was just trying to remind myself yesterday to follow through right to the end of each project. No always easy after the fun part is done. Keep smiling and creating

Have a wonderful trip and thaw yourself out!

I've had my Thanksgiving meal so it was a perfect time to visit desks - either that or take a nap!!

  17. You are funny! I'm not one of those women either so you have company! Mmmm, wine, no that sounds like the perfect accompaniment to frenzied card finishing! I am jealous, Mexico... sounds lovely, especially as we just received our first gift of 15" of snow for the season. Welcome to New Hampshire USA! LOL! I love every one of those cards... omgosh!!! I am also your newest follower. Must keep the art sister-hood going! Hope you enjoy your vacation... I'm sure you will :D
    Hugs from a new friend,

  18. OMG Lynne, you have made me so happy. I was saying the same thing the other day!! I make the front, put it in the 'finished box(es)' and make something else. Then I need a card so I dig through, vow to get the inserts and envelopes together and the whole thing in the cellophane bag, but it rarely happens. You have lifted my soul to know it's not just me! Your desk looks amazing. What a lot of bright and beautiful cards. You have inspired me to go and pack up a few because I also am going to give some for Xmas gifts. It's always nice to give something homemade, infact most of what I give is homemade. Hope the mammogram went well and enjoy Mexico. Hugz
